(Washington, D.C.)– U-S Senator Tom Harkin announced today (Tues.) the U-S Department of Agriculture has approved a loan of more than two million dollars for Iowa Lakes Regional Water.
The 2,236,000-dollars will be used to construct and improve the water system of the Iowa lakes Regional Water service area, adding 150 customers to the system.
The funding was administered through the USDA’s Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program.
Harkin is Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee.
