(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake’s new Public Works Director is introducing himself to the community.
Dwight Dohlman came to Spirit Lake from Cedar Rapids, where he was Facilities Director the last 12 years. He says he looks forward to using his new position in Spirit Lake to broaden his career objectives.
Dohlman has been on the job in Spirit Lake about two weeks now. He says he’s impressed with the city’s staff. Dohlman says he quickly learned of the quality of personnel after helping out with clean-up days last week. Dohlman says he saw firsthand the crews’ work ethics, teamwork and comraderie. He says he’s pleased to be part of that team.
Dohlman says as of right now he’s still evaluating the city and its infrastructure, and as a result doesn’t have any recommendations for changes just yet, adding he looks forward to working closely with City Administrator Mark Stevens and the city council.
