(Spencer)– A Spencer manufaturer is expanding.
Eaton Hydraulics is proposing to invest nine million dollars in new machinery and equipment at its Spencer plant, creating 70 jobs and retaining 127.
Eaton will increase production of heavy duty pumps and motors as well as manufacture a new product–a hydraulic launch assist for commercial waste removal trucks.
To help secure the project, the state’s Economic Development Board today (Wednesday) awarded 500-thousand dollars from the Community Economic Betterment Account, or CEBA, for 52 created and 114 retained jobs.
The expansion has also been awarded tax benefits through the state’s High Quality Job Creation Program.
The Spencer Eaton plant has been in operation since 1973.
