(Estherville)– The board of directors of Iowa Lakes Community College has a vacancy.
Meeting in special session Tuesday, trustees accepted the retirement of John Hand effective June 15th.
Hand served two decades on the board representing the Emmetsburg area. He was currently serving as the board’s President.
Hand told the board he’s going to miss the people he’s worked with over the years, and that he’s excited for the college’s future.
Trustees elected Jack Tatman as the board’s President, a position Tatman has held in the past.
Jan Lund will continue as Vice President.
Trustees will elect someone at their next meeting to fill Hand’s seat on the board until elections are held in September.
