(Worthington, Mn.)– A grand jury has indicted a Worthington man on murder charges in the death of his two-year-old niece.
Samantha Fraga died March 20th in Worthington. 34-year-old Josue Robles was arrested six days later.
Fraga made his first court appearance on the indictment this week in Nobles county district court. He’s charged with first-degree murder while committing sexual assault and two counts of second-degree murder.
Fraga’s attorney says he denies the charges.
Bail for Fraga is set at one million dollars.
A medical examiner reported that Samantha died of head injuries, body bruises, injuries to her genitals and rectum and a ruptured stomach. Fraga’s brother, who lives in Texas, had turned over custody of Samanth and her brother to Fraga and his wife.
