Okoboji Council Holds Second Hearing On Water Main Project

November 22, 2014

(Okoboji)– A public hearing on a water main project drew no comments at a special meeting Wednesday evening of the Okoboji city council.

The project involves the extension of a main along the city’s north side to improve water pressure and fire flows in that area of Okoboji.

The project has an estimated cost of 1.275 million dollars.

City Administrator Dennis Daly says even though a hearing on the project had already been held back in January, a second hearing was needed because some funding through the state is involved and there had been some modifications in the routes of the project since the last hearing.

A public hearing on plans and specifications and a bid letting on the project is scheduled for the council’s next regular meeting this coming Tuesday, June 10th.
