(Spencer)– No injuries were reported Saturday when a vehicle collided with the Iowa Lakes Community College building in Spencer.
Spencer police say 45-year-old Timothy Coleman of Spencer was northbound in the Gateway North Mall parking lot enroute to the laundromat. Authorities say Coleman tried to apply the brakes as he neared the building, but they failed.
The vehicle collided with an unoccupied bicycle and then hit the building, causing some bricks to separate and break.
No citations were issued.
3,500-dollars in damage was estimated to the building and bicycle.
The mishap took place shortly after 4:00 p.m.
