(Arnolds Park)– Officials with Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated, which operates the Arnolds Park Amusement Park, thought last year was a huge success. Now they know by just how much.
The board of directors of Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated Monday reviewed an audit report for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 2007. It shows the entity had operating revenues of slightly more than 2.4 million dollars…an increase of 280-thousand dollars from the previous year…or roughly 13 percent. Operating expenses for the fiscal year totaled slightly more than 2.4 million dollars, a decrease of 53-thousand dollars from the prior year.
On somewhat of a down note, it was reported at Monday’s meeting attendance numbers at the park are down somewhat this season from a year ago this time. Scott Pyle, General Manager of Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated, attributes that mostly to the abnormally cool, wet weather we experienced up until just recently. He’s hopeful the better weather and the start-up of concerts at the Roof Garden and Preservation Plaza (or the Green Space) will help bring more people to the park the rest of the season, which is still very young.
