(Spencer)– A traffic stop for an equipment violation landed a Spencer man in jail over the weekend.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Brandon Janssen of Spencer shortly after 3:00 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue Southeast in Spencer.
During the stop, a deputy determined Jannssen was allegedly intoxicated and had been driving under suspension.
A charge of child endangerment was also filed against Janssen because a two-year-old child was in the vehicle while he was allegedly driving drunk.
Janssen was booked into the Clay county jail.
