(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision this (Monday) afternoon at the intersection of 9th Street and Okoboji Avenue, or Highway 71 in Milford, sent one person to the hospital.
Milford police say 17-year-old David Brinkman of Harris was attempting to make a left turn off 9th Street onto the highway when he turned into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by 21-year-old Skylar Larson of Milford.
Larson was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake with non-incapacitating injuries.
No injuries were reported to Brinkman.
Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2001 Chrysler P.T. Cruiser driven by Larson; a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Brinkman was totaled.
The collision took place around 2:20 p.m.
Milford police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park Police Department, Milford Fire and Rescue and Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and paramedics.
