(Sibley)– The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has released information into a collision involving two cars and a semi last Thursday that injured two people.
Authorities say 23-year-old Andres Fuentes of Tracy, Minnesota was northbound on Highway 59 and had stopped at the intersection with Highway Nine. Authorities say Fuentes was going through the intersection and failed to yield to a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Kim Lowe of Spirit Lake who was westbound on Highway nine.
Lowe’s vehicle then collided with a semi driven by 47-year-old Robert Dyer of Moville who was southbound on Highway 59 and had stopped at the intersection.
Fuentes and Lowe were transported to the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley with incapacitating injuries.
No injuries were reported to Dyer.
A 2002 Chevrolet Impala driven by Fuentes and a 1988 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Lowe were both totalled; 500-dollars in damage was estimated to a 2000 Freightliner semi driven by Dyer.
Fuentes was cited for failure to have a driver’s license.
