SW Mn Crash Results In Serious Injuries

(Fairmont, Mn.)– Two people were seriously injured Sunday night in a crashing involving a car and a motorcycle on Highway 15 north of Fairmont.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 37-year-old Humberto Jones of Gainesville, Virginia was driving a 2008 Toyota and 48-year-old Curtis Sager of Truman was driving a 1981 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Troopers say Jones was attempting to turn south onto the highway when he collided with the northbound motorcycle driven by Sager.

Sager and a passenger on his motorcycle, 12-year-old Kendra Sager of Truman, were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Curtis Sager was treated for a head injury and lacerations; Kendra Sager sustained a back injury.

No injuries were reported to Jones or two passengers in his vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the Toyota driven by Jones; severe damage was reported to the motorcycle driven by Sager.

The State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Fairmont Police Department, Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Fairmont Fire Department, and the Fairmont ambulance.

The mishap took place shortly after 11:00 p.m.
