Clay Co. Traffic Stop Results In Drug Arrest

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Wednesday in Clay county resulted in drug charges against a Spencer man.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over the vehicle knowing the driver, 34-year-old Travis Stoyke of Spencer, had a suspended license.

Upon further investigation it was found a passenger, 37-year-old Curtis Paine of Spencer, was in possession of what’s alleged to be a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Stoyke was charged with driving under suspension and no proof of insurance; Paine was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
