(Orleans)– The Spirit Lake Protective Association holds its annual meeting this Saturday (Aug. 16th) at the Mini-Wakan State Park shelter house on the north side of Big Spirit Lake.
Copies of plans to rennovate the structure will be available.
They keynote speaker will be John Maehl, Northwest District State Parks Supervisor for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. He’ll give an update on efforts to locate a gas dock on Big Spirit Lake.
This year will mark the 49th year for the SLPA’s annual meeting.
Association members and other interested persons are urged to attend.
Free coffee and rolls will be served beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 16th) followed by the meeting at 9:00.
