(Emmetsburg)– One person was injured Wednesday in a mishap about a mile south of Emmetsburg involving a truck and a motorcycle.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Jon Thompson of Plover was northbound on 460th Avenue and was attempting to turn west onto 390th Street when he collided with a motorcycle driven by Lauren Carpenter of Curlew who had stopped at a stop sign on 390th Street.
Carpenter was taken by ambulance to the Palo Alto County Hospital with minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Thompson.
Thompson was cited for failure to yield half of the right-of-way.
Damage to the vehicle driven by Thompson was estimated at one thousand dollars; 500-dollars in damage was estimated to the motorcycle driven by Carpenter.
The mishap took place around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
