(Sibley)– What started off Saturday as a report to authorities of a domestic situation between a husband and wife led to the arrest of a Sibley man on drug charges.
While speaking with the female party, deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office were told about possible drug use at a residence at 913 8th Street in Sibley.
A search of that residence by deputies and the Iowa State Patrol resulted in about two pounds of marijuana being seized along with paraphernalia.
29-year-old Cesar Alanis of Sibley was arested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver…a class “D” felony; drug tax stamp violation…also a class “D” felony; prohibited acts…an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct…also a simple misdemeanor…which allegedly occurred after Alanis was placed under arrest.
Alanis was booked into the Osceola county jail on bond of 12,600-dollars.
