(Spencer)– Spencer police say search warrants executed back on August 22nd of this year on three locations resulted in several drug-related arrests.
The first search, at 3610 290th Avenue near Dickens, turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. 51-year-old Don Mobley was charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine. Bond was set at two thousand dollars.
Officers then searched a residence at 517 East 12th Street in Spencer where they found what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia. An occupant of that residence, 31-year-old Nathan Blanchard, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver within a thousand feet of a school; and a drug tax stamp violation…both class “D” felonies. Blanchard was released after posting a five thousand dollar bond.
Officers also executed a search warrant at 2625 320th Street of rural Spencer where they found what’s alleged to be marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. 44-year-old Steven Quail was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver…a class “C” felony; delivery of cocaine…also a class “C” felony; a drug tax stamp violation, delivery of marijuana within a thousand feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance…all class “D” felonies. Quail was booked into jail on 129-thousand dollars bond.
Spencer police were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 Max, and the Clay County Attorney’s Office.
