(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is releasing details of a traffic stop late Saturday night that landed two Illinois residents in jail on narcotics charges.
Authorities say a deputy pulled over a vehicle around 11:55 p.m. Saturday that was travelling 72 miles-per-hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone.
Upon making contact with the driver, 19-year-old Chance Naber of McHenry, Illinois, the deputy noticed a container with drug paraphernalia under the driver’s seat. The deputy then searched the vehicle and passengers, finding a quantity of marijuana, multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and prescription pills.
Naber and 22-year-old Antoinette Natschke of Wonder Lake, Illinois were both taken into custody.
Naber was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding…simple misdemeanors. Bond was set at 1,437-dollars.
Natschke was charged with possession of a controlled substance…Clonazepam, a schedule four prescription medication…a serious misdemeanor. Bond was set at one thousand dollars.
Two passengers in the vehicle were briefly detained but weren’t charged.
