Oklahoma Man Charged In Spencer Car Burglaries

(Spencer)– An Oklahoma man faces numerous charges in connection with several car bruglaries in the Spencer area.

Police recovered more than 50 items believed to have been stolen from vehicles over the last two weeks. As a result, warrants were issued for 18-year-old Jeff Martin, Junior of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to being arrested, Martin fled in a pickup that was later reported stolen from Spencer. Shortly after 10:00 a.m. the truck was located by the Kasas Highway Patrol after being involved in a gas drive-off. Martin was then taken into custody. He faces extradition back to lay county.

In addition to numerous burglary charges, Martin also faces a charge of theft in the second degree.

Spencer police are in the process of returning the stolen items to their rightful owners.
