(Des Moines)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is holding a series of meetings around the state regarding a proposed statewide daily bag limit on bluegills and crappies.
The proposed amendments to the fishing regulations would establish a 25 fish bag limit individually for both bluegills and crappies in public waters. There is no possession limit.
One of the five meetings is scheduled for the Iowa Great Lakes area. It will be held Thursday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Dickinson County Community Building in Spirit Lake.
Other meetings are scheduled for Atlantic, Cedar Falls, Des Moines and Bloomfield.
