Palo Alto Co. Burglary Investigation Results In Two Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– Two Emmetsburg men are in trouble with the law after an investigation allegedly linked them to several burglaries over the past three weeks at a farmhouse in Rush Lake Township of Palo Alto county.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and Emmetsburg police obtained search warrants as the result of their investigation.

Authorities recovered several items stolen in the burglaries while executing the warrants last Friday at 406 North Superior Street and 2901 13th Street in Emmetsburg.

As a result, authorities Monday arrested 23-year-old Tracy McCallum of Emmetsburg. McCallum was charged with three counts of third degree burglary…all class “D” felonies. McCallum was unable to post a 10-thousand dollar cash or surety bond and was booked into jail.

Also arrested was 34-year-old Gregory Colling of Emmetsburg. He was also charged with three counts of third degree burglary…class “D” felonies. Colling was issued citations and was released pending a future court appearance.

Palo Alto County Sheriff Dennis Goeders says the investigation continues and more arrests are pending.
