Qwest Workers Reject Contract Offer

(Denver, Co.)– Members of Qwest Communications’ largest union have rejected a proposed three-year contract.

The Communications Workers of America said Tuesday that union officials and Denver-based Qwest will meet in the coming days to schedule further contract talks.

The union represents about 20-thousand Qwest employees in 13 states, including Iowa.
