(Fostoria)– Charges have been filed against two men accused of breaking into a residence last Thursday in Fostoria and assaulting a male occupant there.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 9:40 p.m. to 215 First Street Southwest in Fostoria after getting a call of two residents breaking into that residence and assaulting a male occupant.
Upon arriving and following an investigation, deputies arrested Robert Sports and Phillip McGruder…both of Spencer.
Sports was charged with burglary in the first degree…a class “B” felony.
McGruder was charged with public intoxication.
Both are to appear before the Clay County Magistrate.
