(Sheldon)– A Sanborn woman was injured earlier this week when a vehicle she was driving collided with some cattle on the road on Highway 18 in O’Brien county.
The Sheriff’s Office says the driver, 44-year-old Connie Krikke of Sanborn, was taken to the Sheldon hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
A 1998 Dodge pickup she was driving sustained an estimated five thousand dollars in damage.
A second vehicle from the other direction then came upon the scene and collided with the same cattle simultaneously. The driver of that vehicle, 71-year-old Monte Miller of Hospers, complained of a possible injury but didn’t seek immediate treatment.
A 2000 Pontiac Montana van Miller was driving sustained an estimated two thousand dollars in damage.
The mishaps took place shortly before 11:00 p.m. Wednesday.
