(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake school board Monday evening voted unanimously to enter into a study into the feasibility of sharing transportation and maintenance directors with the Okoboji school district, contingent upon the Okoboji school board passing a similar resolution.
Bill Sackett of the Dickinson County Taxpayers Association was among those urging the districts to enter into the study, adding it should be expanded to include the possible sharing of a Superintendent.
Spirit Lake school board members vowed to keep the option of entering into a Superintendent sharing study open in the future, but the current study will be limited to transportation and maintenance directors.
