November 22, 2014

(Sheldon)– A traffic stop earlier this week in O’Brien county resulted in drug charges against two Sioux City men.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy Monday pulled over a vehicle on Highway 18 about a mile east of Sanborn for a traffic stop.

A subsequent investigation resulted in the driver, 24-year-old Nicholas Beualieu and a passenger, 20-year-old Jared Miller, both of Sioux City, being arrested on a charge of a possession of a controlled substance schedule four drug, Alprazolam…a depressant…without proper prescription.

Both men were transported to the O’Brien county jail. They were released Tuesday after posting bond of two-thousand dollars each. They are to appear in court at a later date.

The charge is an aggravated misdemeanor.
