(Emmetsburg)– A two-vehicle collision last week in Palo Alto county resulted in minor injuries to both drivers.
The Sheriff’s Office says Derek Knapp of Whittemore was westbound on 420th Street when he collided with a vehicle driven by Kari Etherington of Web who was southbound on 580th Avenue.
The impact caused the vehicle driven by Knapp to spin counterclockwise before coming to rest on the west shoulder facing north. Etherington’s vehicle continued southbound, coming to rest in the west ditch.
Both drivers complained of pain but declined immediate medical attention.
A 1997 Ford Taurus driven by Knapp sustained an estimated two thousand dollars in damage; 3,200-dollars in damage was estimated to a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Etherington.
Knapp was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
