(Sibley)– We told you earlier about mock election results from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School. Sibley-Ocheyedan High School and Middle School students also held an election last week.
Results for the Presidential Election had McCain/Palin with 174 votes while Obama/Biden had 173.
For Senate, Tom Harkin had 212 while Christopher Reed received 137 votes.
And for the 5th District U.S. House, Steve King received 243 votes; Rob Hubler had 85 and Victor Vara had 23.
On a related note, Government students at Sibley-Ocheyedan High School will be assisting the Osceola County Auditor’s Office with this year’s election. They’ll man help desks at each precinct Election Day Tuesday (Nov. 4th).
