(Spirit Lake)– The Iowa State Patrol has released details into a single-vehicle accident this past Saturday in Dickinson county that injured a Spencer woman.
Troopers say 33-year-old Misty Rettig of Spencer was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup westbound on Highway Nine about a half mile east of the intersection with 290th Avenue when she lost control on some ice.
The pickup went into the south ditch where it rolled several times before coming to rest on its top.
Rettig, who was alone in the vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare where she was treated for what was described as non-incapacitating injuries.
7,500-dollars in damage was estimated to the pickup.
The mishap took place shortly before 9:30 p.m.
No charges were filed.
