Vernon Flack has been nominated for the Sullivan Brother’s Award of Valor.
Brian Craig of the Milford Fire Department nominated Flack for the award in connection with a fire on February 13th, 2008. Flack entered a burning apartment, found a man who was sleeping, and safely removed him.
Flack recently received a certificate of commendation from Eugene Meyer, Commissioner of the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
