(Spencer)– A Clay county traffic stop has resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle around 1:15 p.m. Friday on Highway 18 for speeding. It was determined the 17-year-old female driver from Fostoria was driving with a suspended license.
A warrant check was ran on the passengers. The deputy learned one of them, 22-year-old Brady Wee of Fostoria, was wanted out of Clay and Sioux counties for multiple offenses.
A search of the vehicle by the Clay county K-9 turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The juvenile female was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and speeding. She was released to a parent.
Wee was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was being held on a Clay county warrant for theft in the fifth degree.
Wee was also being detained on the Sioux county warrants for providing alcohol to minors and open container.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.
