(Spirit Lake)- A Spirit Lake woman has been arrested after Spirit Lake police received information in regards to the distribution of a controlled substance. A subsequent investigation ensued and a search warrant was obtained for a residence, located at 2206 Gary Avenue. Upon arrival on December 20th at approximately 10:28am, the Spirit Lake Police Department executed the search warrant for the residence and found a green plant material believed to be marijuana.
22-year-old Sheila Marie Wilson of Spirit Lake was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver-marijuana, a class D felony; failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class D felony; child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance- marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
The Spirit Lake Police Department was assisted in the execution of the search warrant by the Dickinson County Sheriffs Office.
