(Spencer)– Two Spencer teens face drug charges as the result of a traffic stop back on Christmas Day.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 500 block of East Third Street in Spencer.
Authorities say a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up two marijuana pipes.
The driver and a passenger, both 17-year-olds, were cited into juvenile court for possession of drug paraphernalia. They were later released to the custody of parents.
Authorities say the case is still under investigation and more charges are expected.
