(OKOBOJI, Iowa)- Do you make the best chocolate or sweet treats on campus? If so, you will soon have the chance to prove it. The University of Okoboji 12th Annual Chocolate/Sweet Classic is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center. Everyone is invited to participate, either as a Classic sampler or as a Classic vendor.
Classic samplers will have the opportunity to taste the vendors treats and vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced Saturday, January 24 during the Fireworks Extravaganza at Preservation Plaza next to Historic Arnolds Park, Inc.
Chocolate/Sweet Classic vendors are asked to furnish 500 samples of their chocolate or other sweet treat and are encouraged to decorate their serving area. If you are interested in entering the Chocolate/Sweet Classic as a vendor, applications are available at the Chamber offices or contact Karey Winkel at Minervas. Applications are due by January 16, 2009.
Minervas and Arrowwood Resort are hosting the U of O 12th Annual Chocolate/Sweet Classic. Plan to attend and help make this years event the biggest and best Chocolate/Sweet Classic ever.
