2009 ArtsLIVE People Project To Consist Of Large Dragonfly

November 22, 2014

(Wahpeton)– Last year it was a giant turtle. This year’s Winter Games ArtsLIVE people project will consist of 100-foot dragonfly.

Chad Branham will design the insect in Miller’s Bay on West Lake Okoboji near Lakeside Laboratory. Volunteers will be lined up on the ice in the shape of the insect.

It’s expected to take about 225 people to complete the project.

Those wanting to be a part of it should be at Peace Lot, the southwest corner of the Highways nine and 86 junction at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 24th.

Once everone is in place the dragonfly will be photographed from a plane by Judy Hemphill.

More information on the project is available on-line at www.ArtsLIVE.com. You can also learn more about Chad Branham’s background at www.propthis.com or www.willowriverarts.org.
