November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a crash Sunday on Highway nine that injured two people.

Deputies say 62-year-old Mavis Hoffman of Ocheyedan was westbound when she collided with a flatbed trailer that had become unhitched from an eastbound pickup driven by 58-year-old Dennis Most of McCook Lake, South Dakota.

Two passengers in Hoffman’s vehicle, 10-year-old Marissa Pham and 11-year-old Summer Kruse, hometowns unavailable, were transported to the Osceola County Hospital with unknown injuries.

Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1997 Chevrolet pickup driven by Hoffman with no damage reported to the trailer.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Ocheyedan Fire and Rescue and by the Ocheyedan and Sibley ambulances.

The mishap took place around 8:30 p.m.
