(Spirit Lake)– Officials with several area cities say some people need to be more considerate when it comes to snow removal and where they’re piling snow.
They say they’ve had complaints of people shoveling and/or blowing snow into streets and alleys. And in some cases, primarily in downtown areas, there have even been reports of piles of snow being dumped on private property from neighboring businesses and parking lots. Business and property owners are reminded to keep snow from their driveways, sidewalks and/or parking lots on their property.
Officials say you may have to pay to haul it away if the piles get too high and there’s no where else on your property to put it.
