(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake High School will host the Iowa High School Music Association State Jazz Band Festival/Contest this Saturday at the Sami Center.
Competition will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Nine jazz bands from classes 1A and 3A will be performing.
The Harris-Lake Park jazz band will perform at 10:00 a.m.; Spirit Lake at 3:10 p.m.
Other bands that will participate include George-Little Rock, Kingsley-Pierson, LeMars, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn, Remsen-Union, Rock Valley and Storm Lake.
Admission is three dollars for adults; one dollar for students.
