November 22, 2014

(Okoboji)– A lakes area fire department is the recipient of a contribution from a utility company that serves most of the region.

Black Hills Energy has donated a thousand dollars to the Arnolds Park/Okoboji Fire and Rescue.

Fire Chief Chris Yungbluth says the money will be used to purchase a new air compressor system to fill breathing air tanks.

Yungbluth says they’re very thankful to the company for the donation.

Black Hills Energy provides natural gas service to more than 144-thousand customers in 130 Iowa communities, including many in the Iowa Great Lakes.

The company serves 750-thousand customers in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.
