(Jackson, Mn.)– A two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Jackson county has claimed a life.
The Sheriff’s Office says vehicles driven by 48-year-old Lori Olsen and 53-year-old Melvin Dunford…both of rural Jackson…collided on 525th Avenue about three quarters-of-a-mile north of 830th Street in Belmont Township.
Olson was taken to the Jackson Medical Center and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. No information on her condition was immediately available.
Dunford was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Jackson ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol.
The mishap remains under investigation.
It took place shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
