(Spirit Lake)– Sentencing for one of the defendants in the death of a Sioux Falls man outside a Milford gentleman’s club has been postponed a fourth time.
John Swan of Crossett, Arkansas pleaded guilty to a charge of voluntary manslaughter in the death of 25-year-old Matthew Begtrup. Swan entered the plea back in September of last year. His sentencing has now been re-scheduled for February 16th.
Swan is one of three defendants in the case.
Scott Adair, also of Crossett, Arkansas, also pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. He was sentenced in October of last year to a minimum of 10 years with the Iowa Department of Corrections.
A third defendant, Michael Friedrichs of Forest City, pleaded not guilty to murder in the case. He is yet to stand trial.
