(West Fargo, N.D.)– West Fargo, North Dakota-based Bobcat Company and Medina, Minnesota-based Polaris Industries, Incorporated are forming an alliance they hope to launch in late 2010.
Bobcat makes compact construction equipment such as skid-steer loaders. Polaris makes off-road vehicles such as snowmobiles and ATVs.
Polaris CEO Scott Wine says under the alliance, his company will make work vehicles and sell them to Bobcat, for sale through Bobcat’s dealer network. He says the agreement later will include co-developed vehicles and technology sharing.
Bobcat Americas President Richard Goldsbury says the alliance will enable both companies to expand customer bases and boost profits.
