(Spencer)– Authorities say dense fog may have been a contributing factor in a single-vehicle crash Thursday in Clay county that injured two people from Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-old Wade Loehr was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on 150th Avenue when he failed to see a stop sign. The vehicle went through the intersection into the north ditch where it entered a creek.
Loehr and a male juvenile passenger were taken to Spencer Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The vehicle was totaled.
The crash took place around 7:30 a.m.
Authorities say it was foggy at the time, but they also say charges are pending in the crash.
