(Undated)– Several police departments in the area will be benefitted by funds received through the Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program through the U-S Department of Justice.
Locally, the Storm Lake Police Department will receive 32-thousand dollars; the Estherville Police Department was awarded 18,900-dollars; the Algona Police Department will receive 15,700-dollars; and the LeMars Police Department will get nearly 20,400-dollars.
The Justice Assistance Grant, or JAG, allows states and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and improve the criminal justice system.
