ILCC Trustees Recommit Bid On Sustainable Energy Education Center

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College Tuesday reconfirmed their intention to accept the low bid submitted a month ago by Christensen Larson of Estherville on an addition to the college’s Sustainable Energy Education Center on the Estherville campus.

The trustees took the action after Delaine Hiney, Executive Director of Facilities Management, reproted that an oral and written complaint was filed by the high bidder on the project.

After consulting with their attorney, a spokesperson from Butler Buildings and a representative of Frevert-Ramsey-Kobes architects and engineers, the trustees voted to recommit the bid to Christensen Construction at a cost of just over 550-thousand dollars.

Groundbreaking is set for Thursday, April 2nd with completion by September 1st, 2009.
