(Worthington, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Tuesday on Interstate 90 west of Worthington sent two people to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 33-year-old Gregory Ymker of Corsica, South Dakota was eastbound in the left lane and was attempting to pass a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Dale Nash of Mansfield, South Dakota when the two collided. The impact caused a travel trailer being pulled by the vehicle driven by Nash to fish tail, rolling onto its side.
Nash and a passenger in his vehicle, 75-year-old Alfreda Nash of Mansfield, South Dakota, were taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington. Both were treated and released.
Minor damage was reported to a 2006 Peterbilt semi tractor driven by Ymker; severe damage was reported to a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Nash.
The mishap took place shortly after 3:00 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
