(Luverne, Mn.)– So just how windy was it Tuesday evening? In southwest Minnesota it was windy enough to blow a semi tractor off the road.
It happened around 7:00 p.m. on Interstate 90 west of Luverne.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 33-year-old Andrew Peterson of Ellsworth, Wisconsin was driving the rig eastbound at about 45 miles-per-hour when a gust of wind pushed the vehicle into the median.
Peterson and a passenger, 54-year-old James Roberts of Cedar Hill, Missouri, were taken to the Luverne hospital where they were treated and released.
Severe damage was reported to the 2007 Peterbilt semi tractor.
