Habitat For Humanity To Break Ground On Milford Build

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– The Northwest Iowa Corridor Habitat for Humanity chapter will hold a groundbreaking on its new build project this Sunday, March 29th at 1:30 p.m. at the site located at 1607 Okoboji Avenue in Milford.

The local habitat chapter’s board members will be present along with the partner family the home is being built for.

“Prayer studs” from local churches will be presented to the family during the ceremony. Those studs will be used in the construction of the house which will get underway once the frost is out of the ground.

The Northwest Iowa Corridor Habitat for Humanity chapter will build two homes this year. In addition to the Dickinson county build, there will also be one in Clay county that is funded and currently awaiting a partner family.

Applications can be found at local libraries and churches in Clay county.
