Court Of Appeals To Hear Cases In Spirit Lake

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Iowa Court of Appeals will hear arguments in several cases next week in Spirit Lake.

Rosemary Sackett, Gayle Vogel and Senior Judge Frank Nelson will preside over the cases, which will be heard Wednesday and Thursday, April 1st and 2nd in the Community Room at the Dickinson County Courthouse.

Court officials say the session is being held in Spirit Lake as part of a cost-saving move. All three judges live in the area. Typically the court hears cases in Des Moines.

Cases on the docket include one out of Dickinson county: Lair v. Motor Inn. Other cases that will be heard are out of Carroll, Cerro Gordo, Crawford, Floyd, Lyon, Monona, Pocahontas, Sioux, Webster and Woodbury counties.
