Authorities say it started on May 30th with reports of burglaries at establishments in Oto and Smithland, in Woodbury county, and an attempted burglary at a bar and grill in Anthon.

The next day burglaries were reported at bars in Sutherland, Calumet, Primghar, Archer and Hospers.

Upon investigating detectives started finding similarities. The information was shared with other agencies and investigators across the state.

Upon further investigation, officers were able to identify possible suspects in the cases in northwest Iowa. Authorities say there was also evidence linking the suspects to burglaries in Wisconsin and Illinois.
